The Bitter Seeds book reminds me a bit of Mercedes Lackey and Steve Libbey's podcast book series The Secret World Chronicle. The premise is that there were supermen who fought on both sides of WWII and it's set after that occurs.
Great show! Looking forward to more of your new podcast. Love the 'books' genre focus.
Oh, the talk of Zeppelins reminded me of The Diamond Age which definitely had airships, but I can't recall if they actually called them Zeppelins or not at the moment.
There's airships in at least one of Jasper Fforde's early Thursday Next books, she takes one to her hometown from London.
Great podcast! Someone on GoodReads recommended, I was glad they did. All the books you reviewed were on my radar. I liked your discussion because it answered several questions I had (good to know that For the Win is not as didactic as Little Brother) with spoiling the story. I put several books on my to-read list after this.
I am interested in any comics/graphic novel related discussion as well, as you can see from my website I am into that material.
I reviewed your podcast on iTunes. Best of luck!
